I want to have my life mapped out for me?

Well I'm 17 and a junior in high school, I've set my eyes on having a career with Wild life preserve, I have high hopes of working with orangutans especially, or any other primate to study and help preserve it's species existence, I'm not exactly an All A's student but I maintain about a 2.8 GPA, I just really want to start a career with an organization for Wild life preserve, but I have no idea where to start, I live in the United States where the suburbs is, not exactly the place to find careers for that. What colleges should I look at for animal science or animal management related cles should I take ?
