I just put my hair in rollers and they feel loose?

they feel all loose and my hair isnt sticking to the rollers i had to use 60 bobbi pins (not even kidding i really used 60 of them) to make the rollers stay and to pin my hair on the rollers so will it still come out curly in the morning? i used velcro rollers and my hairs dry so will it still work? and how can i sleep in them with out them falling out? shoud i sleep sitting up or something?
