Is it true that if you dont wash you can grow a culture of mushrooms in your armpits?

My father is a great man, he told me on his deathbed about his amazing recipe for mushroom soup. It involved a lot of dedication with not washing, was my father just lying to me on his deathbed....i mean he wouldnt do that would he?
