What has happened to the catfishing in Shasta Lake, northern California? Anyone have any luck lately?

Summer after summer I used to be able to catch several catfish on chicken liver, minnows, or even crickets in Shasta Lake. One of them topped 10 lbs about 5 years ago. Now over the past two years I've caught just one measly-sized one. My fishing finder shows lots of big fish in the Squaw Creek and Pit River arms at around 80 feet, but I can't get any of them to bite. Those have got to be catfish or trout, cuz they say all the carp died and there aren't that many sturgeon in the lake. Have the catfish died out too or found an abundant source of natural food?
